Van F. Belknap has done it again with our newest tool and our first ever wireless signal product, the Belknap Wireless Signal Hose Clamp Install Tool. This tool was developed in conjunction with automotive manufacturers to decrease the number of potential warranty issues that would arise from improper hose clamp installation.

The VB-WBHCT, used in conjunction with our transceiver box (mounted in proximity to the work area), sends a positive signal to the Plant Floor Control System (or other assembly line control unit) whenever a hose clamp is released successfully. This signal is normally used to determine whether the part or assembly is ready to leave the work station.

Note: This tool only works with POPP style hose clamps (Pre-Opened, Pre-Positioned):
  Features:
  • Tips can be custom made to suit most hose clamp applications.
  • Internal transceiver communicates with data collector bi-directionally to verify that the signal was received by the collector unit (fault-tolerant).
  • Internal memory buffers up to 15 readings when network is unavailable due to interference or network traffic congestion.
  • Tips are designed to prevent side movement, preserve flex symmetry, and maximize the contact area for clamps.
  • Internal 9V battery recharges when tool is placed in charging cradle.
  • Charging Cradle included.

  • Provides customized traceability data for each individual clamp.
  • Customizable output signal for interfacing with various plant floor control systems and computers.
  • Easily adjustable force curves (low-pass, high-pass, slope) for good / bad clamp conditions.
  • PLC cable and power cable included.
