Utilizing the VB Interchangeable Drive Pre-Set Torque Wrench (the work horse in the assembly field), our new Wireless Signal torque wrench is great for assembly plants where a positive signal is required for the plant floor control system. This signal is normally used to determine whether the part or assembly is ready to leave the work station.

Fault-Tolerant Communications
Each time the wrench clicks, it transmits a wireless signal to the Data Collector box. The Data Collector then sends an acknowledgement signal to the wrench (bi-directional) to ensure that the signal was received, which ensures that no signals are lost. If the wrench doesn’t receive an acknowledgement signal, it keeps re-transmitting the signal until acknowledgement is received. The wrench has a buffer of 15 torque signals. The wrench can be used up to 300 feet away from the Data Collector, and even further as long as the wrench is brought within range of the Data Collector box to transmit its buffer contents before it fills up.

Plant Control Interface
The Data Collector Box has a built-in relay which closes each time the wrench clicks, sending a signal to the plant control system via supplied cable or RS-232 connector.
